Do we need to add other categories and boards?
For example, we have a Funny Stuff category, should we have a separate one for the non-funny boards and restrict Funny Stuff to jokes, funny pictures and funny videos?
I know a number of you like making your own creations; should we have a category for that, and if so what boards would you like to see there?

I like the idea of an area for personal creations, and was wondering if we could somehow divide the video section into music and non-music.
Story... When I got my first computer everything I downloaded (and I was downloading EVERYTHING! lol) all went into the "My Pictures" folder. After time passed, I needed to make folders for a few things such as sigs, scenic pics, and humor. then I needed to add folders to sigs for different times of the year, different types, etc. I think it will be the same way here. At the moment we only need several categories, but as we grow, we will probably need many more.
BTW...Even though this is a "backup" in case the Roo fails, I have a feeling we will be quite happily settled in here before that happens.

I think (but that is just a personal opinion) that it would make this forum more clear if there are different categories and boards.
A bit like the Roo I think.
And maybe a different section for ABC, and counting up and down threads so that other posts threads don't get lost.

Yes...I agree. The sections may be a bit empty, but just think of how hard it is to find some things on the Roo. If we just dump everything together, we will soon have a mess.

I agree with the others. We should have most of the categories we know (possibly with different names) and a separate category for the ABC etc threads. In fact, most of the categories could do with additional boards, for example a new place for factual pictures (e.g. Flower Power, Cruets, I'm A Little Teapot, Nature's Paintings) so they are separate from the funny pictures.

I am going to agree also, but I don't see the need yet, unless this is going to become the main Forum

I agree with y'all
I think we need a button to "Preview" your post before we click on the "quick reply" button. That has saved me and I am sure others from having to go back and edit their post -
Contrary to what someone said, I like the way the Society threads are in the Roo as you can just scroll right down the list and see which ones are new post or to find a thread you like. I don't see a problem with that,,,
Also what about the "Smileys" ,, when I hover over them it don't show what the code is ie; it don't show :meme:
OK I will step down and let others have the podium,,

If you click reply rather than go straight into quick reply then you will have a preview...

As far as the smileys go: not a lot we can do about that. It's a different forum, so works a different way.

I've added a few boards. Going to take some time to settle on a preferred format, so any comments and requests are appreciated.

it works so well, the smiley box here, there's no need to use the codes the only reason we do it on the Roo is because for some, and for others sometimes, it takes FOREVER for that MORE smiley box to open! lol
