The office building where I used to work....
I have no idea if this is the end result from an architect after a heavy night out of town but it only costed 110 million euro.

My word darlin' girl ~ that is certainly a different place to the one I have around me ~ not too sure how I would get on in all that hustle and bustle ~ living in a quiet place with a large lake and park a couple of minutes from my front door...LOL
Will have to search around to get the photos that show it off, as so often happens, you live in a place and take it for granted, rarely bothering to take a photo ~ unlike Bamber who has an eye and the country on his door step, and keeps us enthralled with his shots.

Since the beach is a 2 hour drive, some of us go to this little "beach" next to the River.... A very nice place to be.......if you don't mind sharing it with a group of Wild horses who can sometimes unexpectably breath heavily in your neck.

LMP...I took your advice and Googled for pics. However, I was a bit perplexed.I live in the greater Rochester, NY area...but in a town on the east side of the city called Webster. And, within Webster, (on the east side of the town) is Webster Village, where I actually live. Each area is quite different, and I didn't know what to focus on, until Google told me about a video of the Village. Hot damn! That is a very small area, easy for even an old lady to walk, and where I can always be found if I'm not actually sitting here. So...this is where I am most of the time.

Thank you, Bamber. I'm sure you can tell that I really enjoy it here. Our buildings aren't anywhere near as quaint or historic as you folks have in England, but they aren't a bunch of cold chrome and glass, either. It is the kind of place where strangers say good day to each other, and on nice evenings folks sit out on their front porches and talk to anyone walking by. Geoff...You have heard about all these little shops and things, but that isn't the same as seeing it first hand. I think it is time for you to renew your passport.

Well guys ~ I've found some shots which I can put here, and explain a little. I live a twenty minute walk from the centre of Romford ~ which is famous for it's market, three times a week, this market was chartered by Henry 111 in 1247 ~ as a sheep market, as a very young boy I remember being taken there when they still had the cattle pens and the place opposite where what ever was bought by a butcher was taken to be killed, cleaned and cut up for the shop ~ today it looks like this...At the far end of the market, is the Golden Lion, an old coaching inn, which was the partner with the Ship ~ both places changed horses in the old day...When I leave the centre, and walk home, half way is the gates to our lovely park and lake ~ there are a number of walkways around, just put a couple of shots here to give you an idea ~ then, I stagger another couple of minutes [or so] to my front door...lol
