My father refurbished one of that we had in our basement that played 78's and when I had paries the kids only wanted to play it and not the 45 record player with the top 40's on.

I had one of these pop guns when about 7 or 8 and remember popping it off in the front yard. When the neighbor drive by in her shinny new convertible then screached to a hauling stop stormed out of her car and started yelling at my friends and me that we shot her cars tire. Well me being me I showed her it was a pop gun but she wouldn't have any of it I tryed to explain it to her a few times and then gave up turning away and started laughing about how lame she is. Nope never heard anything about it either from my parents.

I only had cap guns...but didn't the pop guns (at least some of them) have a string attached to the cork so it didn't go very far or get lost?
